The S/2 is a refashioned Standard blade, with slightly fuller shoulders, and a more 'rounded ' blade body; the blade tapers in more suddenly, but not dramatically, and the actual area where the blade tapers into the shaft presents an interesting transition. This paddle is gorgeous, with a multi-laminated blade and shaft that compliment each other well. The shaft is a mixture of creamy lightweight Basswood and Walnut. The blade is lamination configurations vary, with Cherry and Mahogany used as well. There are as many as l6 laminates comprise the blade design. It's a lightweight and super tough paddle with a good pull.
